CONGRATULATIONS to the winner of Suzie's custom signed guitar!!
Congrats to Jennifer Phillips from Calgary who's name was drawn from the list of everyone who sponsored a child through World Vision on Suzie's winter tour with Colin James... Jennifer has won the guitar which is featured on the cover of Suzie's Sophmore CD "Rock-n-Roller", and it's also the guitar she took with her to Africa on her March 2009 visit with World Vision (featured in the video "Don't Tell Me Goodbye"!).
The tour was a great success, and Suzie's favorite to date. So good in fact, that we recorded the show and we will be releasing it to CD and iTunes in the Spring! Sign up to Suzie's mailing list for all things up and coming, and be one of the first to know about the release!!
Olympic Success!!
Suzie was in Vancouver for the duration of the Olympic Winter Games, and although all good things must come to an end, it sure was a party while it lasted!!!
Suzie was honored to have been a part of the Closing Ceremonies where she performed her hit "Believe". Read a review in The Washington Post.
She also co-wrote the Ceremony theme song "Let's Have a Party" performed by Nikki Yanofsky, Derrek Miller and Eva Avila. You can watch the performance below and download the song off iTunes.
Above and beyond anything else, Suzie's biggest pride from the Games comes from the amount of Gold Medals Canada won. The most Gold Medals any Host Country has won in history! Way to go Canada!!! The reason her Believe video was initially created was to inspire that exact thing. And we did it! What a success. We Believed!!
Suzie + The Olympics = Lots of fun!!
Suzie's Olympic adventures started all the way back in 2007, and they have continued right into these 2010 Winter Games...
I'm sure you've all had the pleasure of seeing Suzie's video "Believe" which helped raise funds for the Athletes through Canada's "Own The Podium" program. The initiative was a great success! This video has touched many people and athletes alike in the past 3 years, and we are happy to have it continue being an inspiration of spirit and determination during these Games.
Suzie is also being featured in CTV's "Music Of The Nation" with another inspirational song called "All For The First Time" she recorded with fellow "Next Star" judge Christopher Ward and writer/musician Luke McMaster. The song will be featured in a CTV broadcast sometime throughout the games.
To hear/purchase the song go to iTunes.
Right now Suzie and the band are in Vancouver playing shows and cheering on Canada! They have played Molson Hockey House on the Women's Hockey Team night, they'll play The Bell Blue Lounge on Feb 20 & 21, and there will also be more Suzie performances and Olympic participation to come... stay tuned, and above and beyond anything else: GO CANADA!!!! : )
